My year 2015 has been amazing! I've made new friends , I've changed jobs , like my new job ! Taken part in new events ... Nike 10k women's run , Thames bridges walk , Beats run 5k, Demelza children's hospice charity obstacle race . Spent a weekend in Alton towers for my mums 60th birthday . Birthday party for my brothers 40th . Family BBQ. Been out to eat with family and friends . Got a new bearded dragon.
Thank you all for being part of my year . I love you all . I hope next year brings us all as much fun and love as this year has .
I did a 5k race in London for the launch of beats1 radio station .
I did a time of 36 minutes ( with no training ) I am pleased with this time.
My husband started the race with me but I told him to run on in front as he is faster than me . He finished in 28 minutes😊.
Looking forward to doing it again and faster !
I did my first ever 10k run on Sunday the 21st of June ( my birthday)
My time was not as amazing as some of the times in the group but I am proud of my time .
A little bit of background on me .
I do sponsored marathon walks but I do not RUN !
I do not even run for buses !
I do Zumba marathons for 3 hrs .
I do sponsored swims 22 miles in 26 days.
So the time I got could have been better if I had trained properly. I only did the first week of a seven week training plan :0(
But I am still happy with my time ;0)
When I changed jobs I took a pay cut 😞 .Quality of life is much better but I did have had to stop personal training with Ayo .
I have completed my 22 mile channel swim (equivalent) at Dulwich leisure centre over a total of 27 days .
I was swimming for the charity Aspire.
Aspire help people with spinal damage.
Which can happen to any of us at any time .
Got a new fitness band at Christmas , I've now got a garmin connect. so I wear the fuelband , garmin connect and garmin watch & heart rate monitor when training . Possibly a slight addiction to fitness gadgets . I like to put numbers to exercise 😊
For my birthday this year I have signed up for my first 10k RUN .
If you know me you will understand what a challenge this will be ... I don't run !!
It's a nike challenge for women that is actually on my birthday 21st june .
